I have never, like most americans had actually carried out a "New Years Resolution" Mine usually consists of volunteering, Losing weight and reading. Most of these I have done but perhaps only for a month after January 1st.
Do any of you have any different or inspiring resolutions? I would love to hear about them. Perhaps you can and WILL inspire me.
Infact.. this New Year I decided to try and create a blog for others to follow and for me to enjoy creating...I wanted to share this image when I saw it, this reminded me of my Mother's own New Years Resolution..to quit smoking... the way I see this photo is our lungs..the branches and leaves represent our life.. therefore, "Our Lungs are our Life." I just hope that most of you who have the same resolution as my mother will carry it out for hopefully the rest of your lives. Lung Cancer hit my grandfather's life hard and fast. He had small cell lung cancer which spread more quicker than most. He was diagnosed on a Monday and passed away that Thursday...life is short and death can come quick....Prolong your lives :)!

I really dig that you started a blog! Makes me motivated to do one as well. I think getting your thoughts out of your mind, and onto paper or the web for that matter can make ideas more real in itself. I think that there is definitely something about New Years that gets people inspired. The fresh beginning etc. Mondays bring the same feeling :) I don't make resolutions anymore. Like you I often did them for a bit, and then it is as if you set yourself up for disappointment when you slip up or don't meet a goal. My general goals are to be a more patient person with my son, to appreciate the little things, and overall to be a healthier person in general (physically, nutritionally, and mentally). The overall whole being. This is a continuous work in progress and constantly reminding myself of the moment. I will be checking back on your blog! And maybe I will start one myself!
